Lots of stuff going on! La Strada is putting the finishing touches on its first album, and we're looking at a June release. I'll also be heading into the studio with Jason Liebman early next month. In the meantime, you can catch me at shows with the aforementioned La Strada (at Union Hall), Arthur Lewis (at Luna Lounge), Greg Chudzik and the Trophy Wives (at Spike Hill), and of course, the amazing FACE Improv (at Galapagos).

Hello, lovebirds! Just wanted to give a little update while the weather outside is all snowy/slushy/mushy (yet still altogether romantic).
I recently joined the wonderful Brooklyn-based group La Strada, and we've got a number of shows coming up at venues such as Southpaw, The Living Room, and Luna Lunge. We'll also be heading into the studio in March/April to record an EP. I'm excited to be playing with these guys and gals...lots of energy, great songs, and unique instrumentation.
I'll also be joining the talented Jason Liebman in the studio to record an album during the next few months. In the meantime, throughout February, March, and April, you can catch me playing shows all over New York with FACE Improv, Angela Ortiz, and Arthur Lewis and the Geniuses.

Happy New Year, cats and dogs!
Over the holidays, I was able to catch up on a few months of sleep, watch several movies, eat copious amounts of delicious food, and spend some quality time with my wonderful family. Awwww...I wuv my famwy.
I also played some extremely fun shows with Arthur Lewis and Angela Ortiz. Next week puts me in the studio with Greg Chudzik and the Trophy Wives, where we'll be laying down some crazy tracks for a full-length album. Then FACE Improv kicks off the New Year with a performance as part of its monthly residence at Galapagos Art Space, a fantastic venue. More shows will be added to the events page very soon...

Urg...I done ate too much...
I have a couple of shows coming up in the next week or so, whilst I digest...this Wednesday I'll be joining the venerable Dimitri Moderbacher for a couple sets at The Garage down in the West Village. The next hit will be that Goodbye Blue Monday extravaganza with Greg Chudzik and the Trophy Wives. I'm one of the Wives--the one who plays drums.
Hope everyone was able to spend some good quality time with their families this past week!

Happy Veterans Day!
This past Friday, I had the pleasure of joining the amazing Angela Ortiz for a set at the Rockwood Music Hall once again. Also playing that night were Leni Stern and Pyeng Threadgill, who each brought tons of energy to the stage, a smiled the whole time--very inspiring.
Next up will be a show with Greg Chudzik and the Trophy Wives at Bushwick's finest music venue/curio shop, Goodbye Blue Monday. We'll be throwing a bunch of new songs out there in preparation for an upcoming recording session in January. Greg will appropriately wear a space suit, and Andrew will wear just a hat and a strategically positioned electric guitar.
Completely unrelated: I recommend a tasty beer to warm those heart cockles during the encroaching winter season: North Coast's Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. Mmmmmm...

Coming up...a show with Angela Ortiz at The Living Room on Wednesday (featuring the ol' standard piano, flute, violin, and salad bowl ensemble), followed by the final installment of the most recent FACE Improv run at The Tank in Tribeca. Next week I'll be performing a set with Mark Taylor as part of Marty Elrich's music series at Jimmy's 43, and I'll also be joining Geron Hoy on stage at Kenny's Castaways.

FACE Improv is set to begin a run of 5 shows at The Magnet downtown, and will follow that residency with a performance at The Tank in Tribeca. Tell your friends and family and pets to come by for a hilarious, surreal, and often moving fully improvised experience...dates and location are all over the events page.

I just got back from a fun mini-road trip to the Sterling Stage Kampitheater with the ever-lovable Big Swifty. We played an extended set on the outdoor stage, tossed frisbees around, enjoyed some gorgeous weather and scenery, and met some wonderfully free-spirited people. Swifty's EP should be finished soon -- check out our MySpace page for some developing sounds.
In June I'll be playing several hilarious shows with FACE (we have a residency at The People's Improv Theather). You can also catch me with Mark Taylor's Belbaro, Angela Ortiz, Little Big Toe, and Greg Chudzik and the Trophy Wives. I'll try and update this page more often!
